Asia leads FTTH roll-out
3rd September 2008
The FTTH Council (FTTH stands for fibre-to-the-home) has published the global rankings of FTTH roll-out. And it's a good job that BT has announced that it's deigning to roll out FTTH over the next few years, because the UK isn't even among the top 14 nations listed! Similar to the case with the first wave of broadband using ADSL, the European countries and the US are playing catch-up with South Korea, Hong Kong and Japan.
